radiator thermostatic control valve can be classified according to the temperature-sensing medium filled in its temperature bulb, and can be roughly divided into the following four categories:
1. Steam bulb type
The medium filled in the temperature bulb is a low boiling point liquid. When the outside temperature rises, part of the liquid is vaporized into gas, and the volume of the temperature bulb increases to push the valve stem, close the valve opening, and reduce the flow of water into the radiator. , When the outside temperature decreases, part of the gas is liquefied into liquid again, the volume of the temperature bulb decreases, and the valve opening increases, thereby increasing the water inlet flow of the radiator. The temperature sensing medium in the temperature bulb is often in a mixed state of gas and liquid. Its advantage is that the action time is fast, but the sealing requirements for the temperature bulb are very strict, and it is rarely used in China.
2. Liquid temperature bulb
The temperature sensing medium filled in the temperature bulb is a special liquid, generally methanol or toluene. This kind of warm bulb has a large volume and a short action time, and is widely used in China.
3. Solid state bulb type
The temperature bulb is filled with solids with high expansion coefficient, mostly paraffin. Because the volume of the heat sink of the inverter is smaller than that of the gas and the liquid, the temperature sensing action of the radiator is slower, but the volume is smaller than that of the liquid temperature bulb, and it is also used in some domestic applications.
4. Metal sheet
The temperature sensing device of the thermostat controller is a special alloy metal sheet with memory function. The metal sheet expands and contracts due to heat, which drives the temperature control valve to act.
The product needs to carry out strict experiments and inspections on its temperature sensing device. At the same time, due to the change of characteristics such as fatigue fracture after frequent expansion and bending and bending, and the metal has ductility, the life and accuracy of this temperature sensing device will be affected. cause an impact.
